10X15 Figure Theater travels in postcards
by Albert Bagno
Cloister Entrance Classense Library
visitable until June 4, 2022 - Monday 2-7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
10×15 is the standard postcard size in Italy and much of Europe. In these turbulent times, the postcard is certainly a means of contact and connection, and in a way it is the Dove travelling towards the other, towards Peace.
The exhibition consists of three sections:
Postcards ready for travel
from the Albert Bagno fund
- Figure Theatre on the road
- Otello Sarzi and the art families
- Popular masks
- Manipulation techniques
A postcard for the festival
The initiative is open to all artists and spectators who would like to design and donate an original postcard to the Festival. The postcards can be sent or made at the exhibition, where they will then be displayed and sold during the days of the Festival. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Humanitas Commission of the UNIMA Union International de la Marionette, which has been working since the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict to contact and support artists - and others - who are fleeing or in difficulty.
From the Peace Front
The exhibition will display the postcards that Russian and Ukrainian artists have donated to the Festival in this time of war. A message of peace able to cross geographical borders and bring a message of hope under the sign of art and theatre, of free culture and beauty.

His main research, Burattini Altrimenti, unique in its kind and awarded several times, aims at identifying the presence of puppetry in society and in particular in the print media.
