The House tells the story of the funeral home of the Warehouse family. On his deathbed the mortician changes his last wish, his will, a secret begins to unravel and an evil plan to take shape. Sofie Krog and David Faraco will guide you past closed doors and into rooms that conceal dark, unspeakable deeds. This complex puppetry performance takes place in a revolving set that combines the interweaving of lights, unusual contraptions and eerie sound effects. The setting per slice for this comically chilling journey.
Sofie Krog, 1977, Danish. In 2003 she founded the company Sofie Krog Teater. She originally trained in physical theater, method acting, comedy and mime in schools in Denmark and abroad, but today she works as a self-taught puppet designer and puppeteer. Krog created several small circus and cabaret shows before she was drawn to the world of puppetry. Her first performance, DIVA, continues to be a hit with audiences around the world.
David Faraco, 1972, Spanish. Trained in Spanish theater. Professional set designer, actor and puppeteer. From 1990 to 2009 he worked in the team of the figure theater festival Titirimundi, Spain. At the same time and until today he is puppeteer in the Libélula puppet theater company. Faraco is also, since 2004, actor, set designer/constructor of the Nao D'amores Company.
In 2008 Sofie and David began working together, and in 2010 they presented their first joint production, THE HOUSE.
